Technologies Making School Life "SMART"
E-books In the future, students may only bring e-books to school. In fact, some schools are already doing this. E-books can store notes and students feel easy with lighter schoolbags. | Robot teachers There are robot teachers in the schools in some cities. These robots can help students with their studies. They can also help them solve problems. |
E-skates With a pair of e-skates, you can arrive at school faster! E-skates can be tied to your shoes easily. And there are four speed settings you can choose. | Flying aids If students get hurt and need help at schools, drones (无人机) can be of great use. They can offer help faster than people and they can also carry medicine or clothes. |
"Go on, Beauty," said my master, and he touched me with the whip (鞭子). I did not move, so he hit me sharply. I jumped, but I would not go forward.
"There's something wrong, sir,"said John, and he jumped from the carriage(马车) and began to look around. He tried to lead me forward, "Come on, Beauty. What's the matter?"
Of course I could not tell him, but I knew very well that the bridge was not safe. Just then a man ran out of the house on the other side of the bridge. "Stop! Stop!" he cried.
"What's the matter?" shouted my master.
"The bridge is broken in the middle," said the man, "and part of it was carried away. If you come across, you'll fall into the river."
"Thank you, Beauty!" John said to me, and turned me gently round to the right-hand road by the riverside.
It got much darker but quieter now. The wind seemed to have luffed off and the rain stopped as I ran gladly towards home by another much longer road. For some time neither my master nor John spoke, but then my master spoke in a serious voice.
"We were very close to losing our lives in that river, John," he said, "Men may be clever enough to think of things for themselves, but animals know things without thinking, which often saves a man's life, as it has saved ours tonight. We don't realize how wonderful the animals are, nor do we make friends with them as we should."

"Ne Zha" is a Chinese cartoon film that has won the love of audiences around the world. Released in 2019, the movie is based on a famous Chinese fairy tale character, Ne Zha, who is known for his challenging spirit and heroic deeds. The film tells the story of a young boy born with special powers, destined(注定)to either save or break down the world. Even though he is feared and misunderstood by his community, Ne Zha tries hard to realize his worth and change his fate.
In one of the most exciting parts of the movie, Ne Zha teams up with Ao Bing, a dragon prince, to fight against a powerful enemy. At first, they are rivals(对手), but they soon realize they must work together to protect their world. Their teamwork and friendship become a key part of the story, showing how even the most unlikely friends can achieve great things when they unite. This part of the film is filled with wonderful action and emotional moments, making it a favorite for many viewers.
The cartoon in "Ne Zha" is amazing, with bright colors and exciting action scenes that keep viewers interested. The characters are well-developed, and the story is both touching and inspiring, focusing on themes of self-acceptance, courage, and the power of friendship. The film's success comes from its ability to mix traditional Chinese culture with modern storytelling, making it fun for both young and old audiences.
In my opinion, "Ne Zha" is not just a fun movie but also a meaningful one.It teaches us that our future is not fixed and that we can shape our own road. The film's message of hope and strength is quite common, making it a must-watch for everyone.
It's common to carry things on bikes, trains and even planes. But do you know small drones (无人机) can help carry packages to your home?
For two years, Google has been working hard in their secret research lab. Their latest project is called Project Wing.
Project Wing is Google's invention of a drone delivery service. It is half plane and half helicopter and is a little bit bigger than a seagull. It can deliver(投递)packages to buyers by drone to door.
The first drone test was made on a farm in Warwick, Australia. It sent sweets and dog treats to a farmer. The drone flew to the farm, hovered (盘旋), and dropped the package with a wire. Delivery is here!
The best thing about drone delivery services is that delivery time will be greatly cut down. You'll be able to order what you like online in the morning. And by noontime, the delivery drone will land your package.
Throughout history, there have been different kinds of inventions that have helped people move things around, said Astro Teller, lead scientist of Google Wing, to CNN. Teller thinks Google drones will be the next big step.
Interestingly, drones are not that young. The US has been using armed drones since 2oo2. But drones may also get another use. Film companies have asked to use drones to shoot videos from the sky.
Yet Google's delivery drones won't be able to fly to buyers any time soon. However, Google has proved that drone delivery is possible. And with Amazon announcing their drone delivery service last year, the further research is going on to make delivery drones safe and suitable for buyers.

Things didn't change4 we started to study the life cycle of plants. As a class project, each child planted a sunflower. I did this every year with different results in different parts. At first, it was5 for many of the students to plant the sunflowers.6 ,most kids had little patience for the growing part. They lost interest and forgot to7 the sunflowers except William. I'd never seen him show such great8 in class.
Every afternoon, William made sure all the sunflowers were watered.9 even offered to care for them well during the summer holiday. To help the little sunflowers get plenty of sunlight, we10 moved them to the perfect place behind the library with William. All of us hoped the twenty sunflowers could11 the best.
About a month into the summer vacation, I happened to drive by the school. There, behind the library, stood William's sunflowers. I counted all12 of them. They must have been at least 12 feet tall with faces to the sun.
Looking at the sunflowers, I realized we teachers should13 what was planted in our children and tried our best to nurture (培育) it. This was also14 I chose to be a teacher, I thought. At that moment, I knew I didn't have to worry about William. And I believed that one day he would bloom and shine15 his sunflowers.
