I always enjoy visiting the zoo. My home is not near the 1 , so we don't go there very often. But when we go to the zoo, I 2 have a good time.

There are many kinds of food and drinks in our life. Some are healthy, and some are not. We should eat more healthy food and drink.
Fruit and vegetables are good for us. We can have apples, bananas, oranges, carrots and tomatoes. They are rich in vitamins（维生素）and minerals（矿物质）。
Meat, fish and eggs are also good for us. But we should not eat too much meat. We can have some chicken, beef, fish and eggs.
Bread, rice and noodles are our main food. We should have some every day.
Milk and juice are good for us, too. But we should not drink too much cola. It's not good for our health.
It's 6:00 p. m. Kate's family are having dinner. There is rice, eggs, salads, strawberries and some vegetables like tomatoes, onions and carrots on the table. But Kate doesn't like vegetables. She doesn't want to eat them and puts her bowl away.
"Kate, " says her father.
"Where are my hamburgers?" asks Kate.
"Don't think about them. We need to eat healthily, " says Mom.
"How about some ice-cream, then?" asks Kate.
"Kate, " Dad calls her name again. He thinks the dinner is nice.
Kate takes a bite（咬一口）of the tomato and quickly spits（吐出）it back into the bowl.
"Kate! Room! Now!" says Dad. He doesn't like her bad eating habits.
Kate runs to her room and cries, but she soon stops. Usually, her parents will get her some other food she likes if she doesn't eat dinner. So she waits（等待）。
At about 7:00 p. m. , Mom tries to get Kate to eat some vegetables, but she says no.
At 9:00 p. m. , Kate wants to eat something, but her parents still don't give her anything to eat.
At 10:00 p. m. , Kate goes to the kitchen and sees some vegetables on the table. They don't look so bad. And you know what? They don't taste so bad, either.
Kate learns that she should eat healthy food and live a healthy life.
Libraries are a good place to relax. ___ In many new libraries, people can even enjoy coffee and delicious food there. Many people spend their weekend in a library.
A library is a place to find almost any book. ___ There are also pictures, newspapers, magazines（杂志）and maps in a library. Students go to libraries to read books or study. ___ In children's libraries there are many interesting picture books. If you like music, you can listen to your favourite CDs in music libraries.
Long ago, however, a library had only books. ___ And no one could take them out of the library. After the printing machine（印刷机）came out, books could be made faster and libraries could get more books.
To borrow a book from the library today, you need a library card. The library can（图书管理员）prints the card with a date. ___ If you can't give it back on time, you usually have to pay money for breaking the library rule.

Everyone in our school loves sports. Every morning after we get up, we do morning exercises. After the second class, we do exercises again. We only have P. E. classes twice a week, but we do physical training（体育锻炼）at five every afternoon.
The most popular（最受欢迎的）sport is basketball. The boys enjoy playing it and some of the girls like it, too. Another popular sport is football and in every class there are a lot of football fans. We play volleyball when the weather is good. We have school teams in basketball, football and volleyball. Our teams often have friendship matches（友谊赛）with teams from other schools. When there is a match, many of us go to watch it and cheer for our side. Besides（除了）ball games, some of us like track and field（田径）events. We often practice running, jumping and throwing. Every term we have a sports meeting. Sports help us to keep fit and healthy.
The World Sleep Day is on March 21. Many people in the world don't have good sleep. Laura is thirteen years and she is in Grade 7. She loves all kinds of sports.
