Angela is an 11-year-old girl. She has a serious illness. Doctors said she would never be able to 1 . But Angela was not 2 . She told everyone that she was going to walk again someday.

There is a new school near Chennai, India. You might find students in a study room full of trees or a test kitchen. They aren't in an old-style(旧式的) classroom. The school wants to teach children how to be happy. Learning knowledge comes next. Learning for tests is not the only purpose of teaching.
"To be happy is very important to help people live a great life, " said Vivek Reddy from the Riverbend School. "If you think of old-style schools, the most important thing is learning knowledge. " said Danish Kurani, head of the new school. "But we want to give happy kids to the world. And let them go out into the world and do some good things. "
Students in the new school can pick the lessons they want to learn. Teachers help them learn how to think by themselves. The school also has rooms for films, music, art and dancing, and small shops where students can run their own businesses, The teachers want to make a difference to the education. Students can learn something more than knowledge.
It's 6: 00 p. m. Kate's family are having dinner. There is rice, eggs, salads, strawberries and some vegetables like tomatoes, onions and carrots on the table. But Kate doesn't like vegetables. She doesn't want to eat them and puts her bowl away.

Kate runs to her room and cries, but she soon stops. Usually, her parents will get her some other food she likes if she doesn't eat dinner. So she waits.
At about 7: 00 p. m. , Mom tries to get Kate to eat some vegetables, but she says no.
At 9: 00 p. m. , Kate wants to eat something, but her parents still don't give her anything to eat.
At 10: 00 p. m. , Kate goes to the kitchen and sees some vegetables on the table. They don't look so bad. And you know what? They don't taste so bad, either.
Kate learns that she should eat healthy food and live a healthy life.
Eddie was excited to wait for the mountain bike race. He trained hard for a long time.
